The 15 Jobs Where Women Earn More Than Men
Step aside, guys. Women are moving up the payroll. According to a March “Women at Work” report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the gender wage gap continues to narrow. Women earned 81 cents for every dollar earned by men in 2010, up from 76 cents in 2000. Moreover, recent reports suggest that young urban women now earn 8% more than male peers, likely due to higher college graduation rates.
The fact remains, however, that men still earn more in almost every U.S. July, 2010
Small Business Struggles = Fewer Jobs NSBA Releases Economic Report: Outlook Dismal
The NSBA today released its 2010 Mid-Year Economic Report which shows small businesses facing the most difficult business climate they've faced in the last 3 years. The report, conducted on-line June 23 through July 14 among 400 small-business owners, shows 41 percent of small businesses are unable to garner adequate financing. Despite a slight increase in optimism just six months ago, small businesses today report decreases in nearly every indicator including business confidence, revenues, job growth, and growth projections.- Login to post comments
